McDaniel College is pleased to provide a comprehensive health insurance program for students. The policy includes accident and sickness benefits. Despite the high cost of medical care today, this insurance program is available at a very reasonable premium. The McDaniel College insurance program, which provides for 24-hour protection for the student whether on or off campus, is described in this brochure. The policy covers most expenses incurred with any accident or illness but does not include coverage for most preventive care costs. I urge you to carefully consider the program.
The program is available to all McDaniel College students, undergraduate, graduate, full- and part-time, at a cost of $458 for the Fall (12 month) Term beginning August 27, 2012 (August 22, 2012 for early arriving students) through August 25, 2013. This program is required for all international students. Students who have comparable coverage under another policy may waive the cost by completing an ON-LINE WAIVER form by September 15, 2012. To find the waiver, go to our home page, www.mcdaniel.edu. Select “Parents” from the Information For drop down box. On this page you’ll find the link to the secured waiver site.You will need to have available the student’s College ID Number (example: 000123456, must enter 9 digits for waiver to be accepted) or Social Security Number.
